Everyone’s favorite vampire mockumentary, What We Do in the Shadows, is about to get the television treatment!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, a new series based off of What We Do in the Shadows has been given a pilot production order at FX.

The 2014 mockumentary, which was written and directed by Jemaine Clement (Flight of the Conchords) and Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok) centered around four vampire roommates living together in Te Aro. The film showcased what the vampires (played by Waititi, Clement, Jonathan Brugh and Ben Fransham) got up to when they were forced to co-habit the same space while it was daylight outside.

Fans of the cult favorite film should also know that both Clement and Waititi are on board to take part in the new half-hour comedy at FX. Clement is on board to write the upcoming series. Meanwhile, Waititi will be serving as director.

There’s no word yet on whether Waititi, Clement, or any of the film’s original cast will end up having on screen appearances in the new series.

In addition to announcing the new pilot, FX also revealed the names of the actors who will star in the What We Do in the Shadows adaptation.

The cast of the new series will consist of Kayvan Novak (Thunder Birds Are Go), Matt Berry (Toast of London), Natasia Demetriou (Year of Friends), and Harvey Guillen (The Internship).

Currently, there’s no information regarding when we can expect to see the new pilot premiere on FX.
