After months of building hype and releasing short clips, FX has finally released a full trailer for What We Do in the Shadows.

Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement have adapted their beloved film What We Do in the Shadows into an FX series. For months we’ve gotten teases of what to expect from the show in the form of Comic-Con panels, short clips, and other teases. But finally, FX released the first full trailer to give us a really solid glimpse into the What We do in the Shadows series.

Just like the film, the FX series follows a group of vampires trying to live their lives in the modern era. However, these vampires have set up shop in Staten Island instead of New Zealand.

But the show doesn’t only introduce us to Staten Island’s vampire community. There are several other supernatural creatures on the show, and the trailer gave us a peek at some of them. We see one of the vampire’s familiars, a pack of werewolves, and a style of vampire that didn’t show up in the What We Do in the Shadows movie: an energy vampire.

Played by Mark Proksch, the energy vampire named Colin doesn’t feed off of human blood. Rather, he feeds off of energy, either boring you or enraging you. Jemaine Clement, who co-wrote the pilot along with Waititi, explained that we’ve all likely encountered energy vampires.

Though some of the jokes might feel familiar to those who love the movie, the introduction of a new style of vampire and the badass female vampire, Nadja (Natasia Demetriou), makes us feel certain that this series has a long life ahead of it. We can’t wait to see how FX’s What We Do in the Shadows evolves beyond content from the movie.

What We Do in the Shadows premieres on FX March 27.
