In Game of Thrones season 3, episode 5, Jon Snow and Ygritte’s long-awaited hook-up finally happened. Both book fans and TV show fans have seen this one coming for a while, and tonight it finally happened. What will this development mean for Jon going forward, seeing as how fully he’s betrayed his Night’s Watch oath?

Jaime and Brienne are now captives of Lord Bolton; while in King’s Landing, Tyrion and Sansa face a surprising new challenge as Tywin decides that they need to be married. We wonder how Shae will feel about this.

And of course, Cersei is now set to marry Loras – and that makes the smile slip right off her face.

At Riverrun, Robb’s struggling to hold onto his forces after executing Lord Karstark, and elsewhere, Gendry has decided to stay with the Brotherhood Without Banners.

We also meet Stannis’ wife Selyse and his daughter Shireen, who bonds with Davos about the fact that they’re both prisoners.
