HBO’s chilling new robot-Western drama Westworld has a new trailer, which focuses on the relationship between Anthony Hopkins and Evan Rachel Wood’s characters.

Summer’s almost over, and that sucks.

But as we lose the light, we gain some brilliant new reasons to stay indoors in the form of fall TV series!

One of the most hotly anticipated shows of fall 2016 is HBO’s Westworld, the adaptation series based on the 1973 movie of the same name.

The series is executively produced by J.J. Abrams and Lisa Joy, and stars Evan Rachel Wood, Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Jeffrey Wright, James Marsden, Shannon Woodward, Jimmi Simpson and Thandie Newton.

The brand new trailer focuses primarily on Dr. Robert Ford (Hopkins) and Dolores Abernathy (Evan Rachel Wood), as it lays out the tantalizing concept of the series:

Dolores is our entry-point character into this series, but she’s also one of the AI inhabitants of the Westworld theme park.

In the trailer, we see her discover that her entire world and personhood are constructs, and we are repeatedly being told that none of it is “real.”

It’s very clear, however, that what Dolores thinks and feels is very much real, to the point where the ‘creatures’ inhabiting the imaginary Westworld begin to “misbehave,” and gain the power of independent thought.

Dolores’ potential salvation comes in the form of Ed Harris’ enigmatic character The Man In Black, who tells her, “I’m here to set you free.”

Based on this trailer alone, we absolutely cannot wait to watch Westworld! The series premieres Sunday, October 2 at 9 p.m. on HBO.
