Lena Waithe has joined the cast of HBO’s Westworld for its third season.

EW is reporting that the acclaimed writer will be coming back to the screen to kick some robot and/or human butt in Westworld season 3. No word yet on if she’ll be playing a human or a robot, but we’re also not sure if that really matters anymore!

Waithe will join Westworld’s existing cast, or at least a fraction of them, depending how things play out, and Aaron Paul, who has also been hired on for season 3.

As an actress, Lena Waithe is probably best known for her role as Denise on Netflix’s Master of None, but she’s also appeared in Dear White People, and last summer’s Ready Player One! On top of her Emmy award-winning writing for Master of None, she is a writer for BET’s Boomerang and the creator of Showtime’s The Chi.

Although Westworld season 3 is currently filming, we still don’t know much about it. We can probably assume a 2020 release date, but other than that, details are few and far between. Now that Dolores and co. have made it out into the world, we’re sure there’ll be more casting announcements as that part of the story unfolds.
