West Wing fans can get their first taste of the upcoming reunion special thanks to a brand new trailer released by HBO Max!

Update (10/8/2020): West Wing fans are well aware by now that the cast of the iconic Aaron Sorkin political drama is gearing up to reunite for a special geared toward encouraging people to get out and vote.

Now, those who just can’t wait for the special to debut via HBO Max can sink their teeth into a brand new trailer for the reunion, which features all of your favorites back together again.

The new teaser features actors Martin Sheen, Allison Janney, Rob Lowe, Richard Schiff, Bradley Whitford, Dule Hill. Janel Monoley, and Anna Deavere Smith back in action as their iconic characters for a special staged performance of the “Hartsfield’s Landing” episode from season 3.

Also featured in the trailer is This Is Us star Sterling K. Brown, who’s on board to take over the role of Chief of Staff Leo McGarry, originally portrayed by the late John Spencer.

HBO Max has finally set an official date for the upcoming West Wing Special to benefit When We All Vote— get the details on what you can expect from the upcoming special below!

The cast of The West Wing is gearing up to reunite for the first time in 17 years in an effort to encourage voter turnout for the upcoming presidential election in November.

Specifically, the production was organized in order to raise awareness for and support the mission of non-profit organization, When We All Vote. The nonpartisan organization is co-chaired by Michelle Obama and was founded in an effort to increase participation in every election in America.

Set to debut via HBO Max on October 15, A West Wing Special to Benefit When We All Vote will find original cast members returning to perform a staged theatrical presentation of the “Hartsfield’s Landing” episode from the series’ third season.

The cast of Aaron Sorkin’s beloved political drama aren’t the only big names set to take part in the forthcoming special.

In addition to announcing the official premiere date for the West Wing special, HBO Max also revealed on Tuesday (September 22) that act breaks during the theatrical presentation are set to feature commentary from former First Lady Michelle Obama, President Bill Clinton, and Hamilton creator (and West Wing superfan) Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Also set to partake are Emmy Award wining musician and composer W.G. Snuffy Walden, who w8ll open the special on guitar playing the iconic series theme song. In addition, The Avett Brothers will be on hand to close out the special with a performance.
