Fans of last summer’s hit comedy will be happy to hear that We’re the Millers 2 is in the works, and a release date has been set for the Kevin Hart and Will Ferrell comedy Get Hard.

We’re the Millers was perhaps the biggest box office surprise of last year. The comedy pulled in almost $270 million worldwide, easily surpassing its rather low $40 million budget. In a summer where expensive blockbusters like The Lone Ranger were largely ignored, We’re the Millers was a surprise hit.

With that in mind, it should come as no surprise that We’re the Millers 2 (or whatever title the sequel takes) is in the works. It had been assumed that a sequel would happen, but now it is official.

The Hollywood Reporter states that Adam Sztykiel has been hired to write the We’re the Millers sequel’s script. Sztykiel is probably best known for writing Due Date, a 2010 comedy starring Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galifianakis.

Shifting gears completely, Get Hard, an upcoming comedy starring Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart, has been given a release date. According to THR, the comedy will join a crowded 2015 schedule on March 27.

Get Hard will be directed by Etan Coen from a script written by Ian Roberts and Jay Martel, executive producers on Comedy Central’s Key & Peele. The script will follow Ferrell’s character who, after getting convicted of a crime that will send him to prison, gets prepared to do his time by the man who washes his car (Hart).

Which of these two comedies are you looking forward to more, ‘We’re the Millers 2’ or ‘Get Hard’?
