This week on Welcome to Sanditon, we saw a lot more of Edward Denham, and a lot of of the Sanditon viewers themselves. Catch up now with our weekly round-up.
This week on The Lizzie Bennet Diaries spinoff, Welcome to Sanditon, we met Edward Denham and the people of Sanditon. Plus – how many other characters are already active on Twitter, without having shown up in Gigi’s Domino videos?
Gigi’s video: ‘Domino 9000’
In Monday’s regularly scheduled episode, Gigi (Allison Paige) begins her report to William by complaining that Mayor Tom Parker has been avoiding her calls. In order to prove this, she calls him through Domino, only to be redirected to his assistant Edward Denham (Kyle Walters). We are then given a proper introduction to Edward, who is a science-fiction nerd, generally apathetic about politics, and doing what his aunt told him to do. As the Welcome to Sanditon fandom have already decided that Gigi and Edward are A Thing, this video only caused more excitement on Tumblr.
Gigi’s video: ‘Domino, Start Recording’
The Thursday Domino video took a turn for the interesting. We are now seeing a trend that only the Monday video will explicitly focus on Gigi – last Thursday we met Clara, this week we meet the people of Sanditon. The videos included are those uploaded by those viewers who have decided to participate in the roleplaying element of Welcome to Sanditon. We saw a variety of people, and even a Sanditon cat. Over on Twitter, we are still seeing a lot of tweets from characters that have not yet been introduced. As in Jane Austen’s Sanditon, there is an onslaught of Parkers – it is yet to be seen if they will actually turn up in the story or not. In addition to Mayor Tom Parker and his wife Mary Parker, we now have Tom’s sisters Susan and Diana, and younger brother, Arthur (according to Jane Austen’s Sanditon).
An account for Louise Denham has been included on the Official Character list, however it has not been used. There is also an account for a Sidney Parker, another of Tom’s brothers, however it is yet to be used or listed officially.

Then we have Missy Lamb, who in Austen’s Sanditon was Miss Lamb, a younger girl with poor health and a large fortune. In Welcome to Sanditon, she is a swimmer, and so we imagine she may run into one Gigi Darcy in the pool.
