Welcome to Sanditon got sassy this week, with two episodes featuring some fairly disgruntled and dissatisfied characters.
So what has made Gigi and Clara so mad. In a word (or a name)? Mayor Tom Parker. This week Welcome to Sanditon continued to trend of Old Sanditon vs New Sanditon, as Gigi was ignored by the Mayor and his assistant, and Clara retaliated to the Mayor’s plans to turn her ice-cream shop into a juice bar.

In episode 4 of Welcome to Sanditon, we find a very frustrated Gigi Darcy (Allison Paige), as she vents about Tom Parker’s cancelling of their planned town tour. Sounds like the Mayor was busy meeting investors – are we the only ones who think that sounds shady? When Tom’s assistant similarly refuses a tour, Gigi finally stops by Clara’s (Lenne Klingaman) shop for some sympathy and directions.

On the Thursday episode, we once again returned to Clara for another brilliant recipe. Venting her own frustrations with the Mayor, she devises a “juice” recipe, although we don’t think it is quite what the Mayor had in mind. We wonder how many Welcome to Sanditon viewers have been trying these recipes out at home.
Twitter round-up:
On Twitter, it is much the same story, with Tom Parker cancelling additional meetings with Sanditon townspeople:
Unfortunately I’ve had to cancel all my other meetings. Apologies especially to @sassyfaff, who I was so looking forward to speaking to.

I’m glad Mayor Parker doesn’t follow me on twitter, because it means he won’t see my ranting!!! #nothappyJan #aussieculturalreference >:(

And there is still plenty of sass from Clara:
Glad to hear it! There’s still plenty of frozen whipped cow juice to be served up at #craftnight tonight. I hope you’ll stop by.
