Welcome to Hypable! We are a new entertainment website that is run by fans, for fans.

The idea for Hypable came through the success of MuggleNet.com – the most popular Harry Potter fan site on the Internet. Since its launch in the Fall of 1999, millions of Harry Potter fans have relied on MuggleNet for their Potter fix. Those fans have trusted fellow fans to bring them the news that they care about.

Hypable is a natural step forward for us, and we believe there’s room for a new site in a crowded entertainment space. Sites like MTV, Perez Hilton, Entertainment Weekly, etc do a bad job of dedicating themselves to individual fandoms. When they write a story about a fandom, they’ll do it a day or two after the news breaks. What’s more, they’ll only post it if they think a particular fandom is hot at the moment. The stories they decide to write about are selected by editors who most likely aren’t even fans themselves.

With Hypable we promise you’ll never miss a story if we cover the fandom you care about. Our writers are writing the story because they love the topic as much as you do. You’ll see passion in our writing and we’ll be quick to share the story with you as soon as it breaks.

We know everyone won’t be a fan of everything we cover. That’s why we’ve set up a feature that lets you customize which fandoms you care about. By creating a free account, you’ll be able to select which fandoms you do and do not see on the “My Feed” page. You can go back and customize your fandom list at any time.

We also know you like some fandoms that we don’t currently cover. Please feel free to contact us if you feel there’s a fandom we should really be covering (the link is on the right side of this page). Over time, Hypable will be evolving its list of covered fandoms as new and old ones come and go.

Another unique feature to Hypable is our Podcast Network, which will – in the coming months – feature a variety of podcasts covering television, fiction and film franchises that you care about. Each podcast will be hosted by fans and feature discussion of the most recent television episode, news analysis, listener feedback, and more.

Finally, sometimes we might want to share our thoughts and feelings on a particular topic, even though it may not be about something that’s currently in the news. As a result, each of our writers will also maintain their own Column which will offer real insight into our opinions, likes and dislikes regarding particular fandoms.

We have a great number of plans in store for Hypable, and they will be made possible thanks to your support of the site. We hope you see Hypable to be as exciting of an idea as we see it: a one-stop entertainment website for fans, by fans.

Welcome, and power to the fans!
