The weekend box-office estimates are in, and again the new releases continue to put up less than impressive figures. Despite several newcomers to the box-office, we have a repeat winner in The Help at the top of the box-office, even though it couldn’t even muster the top spot on opening weekend.

Read on for a truly strange box-office report!

The weekend box-office estimates are:

1. The Help – $20.5 million (-21%) – Week Two
2. Rise of the Planet of the Apes – $16.3 million (-41%) – Week Three
3. Spy Kids: All the Time in the World 4D – $12 million – New Opener
4. Conan the Barbarian – $10.5 million – New Opener
5. Fright Night – $8.3 million – New Opener

Could this be the end of the summer box-office season? It certainly seems as if audiences are tired of the usual Hollywood stuff. Oscar season couldn’t come soon enough!

Pretty strange stuff, eh? Did you see any of these films? Let us know your thoughts!
