It was yet another slow weekend at the box-office, as Contagion is the only film to muster a decent tally. How’d the rest of the field fare? Find out right here!

For the second week in a row, the #1 film of the week is the only one to top the $10 million domestically, as the box-office continues to suffer. Here are the numbers:

1. Contagion – $23.1 million – New Opener
2. The Help – $8.6 million (-40.5%) – Week Five
3. Warrior -$5.6 million – New Opener
4. The Debt – $4.9 million (-50.5%) – Week Two
5. Colombiana – $4 million (-46.6%) – Week Three

A weak weekend for all films, including new openers Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star and Creature which both ranked among the worst openers in modern box-office history. Ouch! While September is notoriously slow in terms of box-office numbers, this weekend was particularly week. Check back next Sunday to see if it improves!

Did you catch any movies in theaters this week? How about Contagion, which we reviewed.
