With no new major films opening this weekend, films of the past few weeks had an easy chance to lead the box office race.
Unsurprisingly, Breaking Dawn – Part 1 came out on top.
The film made an estimated $17 million, followed by The Muppets with $11.2 million and Hugo at $7.6 million.
