Considering that this current season of Weeds may be the final one, fans may have to look elsewhere to get their Mary Louise-Parker fill.

If that’s you, you’ll be pleased to know that Louise-Parker is joining a new film starring Ryan Reynolds and and Jeff Bridges!

Variety reports:

Mary-Louise Parker is in negotiations to round out the cast of Universal’s “R.I.P.D.” The pic already stars Ryan Reynolds, Jeff Bridges, Kevin Bacon and Stephanie Szostak.

Robert Schwentke is directing the pic, based on the graphic novel series by Peter Lenkov.

The original story was about a cop killed in the line of duty who is recruited by a team of undead police officers working for the Rest in Peace Department. He then tries to find the man who murdered him.

Parker would play the woman overseeing the division who explains to Reynolds’ character what has happened when he dies. Jodie Foster had shown interest in the role but eventually passed.

Speaking of Weeds, we’re worried that Showtime hasn’t announced if this season is the final one considering we’re halfway through it.
