Warner Bros., upcoming Plastic Man movie has officially found its writer.

According to Variety, Cat Vasko has officially signed on to pen the script for Warner Bros., upcoming DC feature, Plastic Man.

The forthcoming film is basted off of the DC Comics character of the same name created by cartoonist Jack Cole.

The character is an alter ego of Patrick “Eel” O’Brian— an orphan who acquires mysterious powers after getting shot during a heist and subsequently being exposed to an unknown chemicals.

As a result, he suddenly finds himself with shapeshifting superpowers that allow him to stretch his body into different forms.

The comic book adaptation has actually been in the works for a couple of years now. In fact, the studio first announced that it was in the process of developing a film centered on the DC hero back in 2018.

At the time, it was announced that Amanda Idoko (Breaking News in Yuba County would be penning the script for the action flick. Vasko enters the project as Warner Bros., and DC Films look to switch gears and put a female lead at the center of Plastic Man instead.

Currently, there’s no word on when we can expect to see Plastic Man hit the big screen.
