Wayward Pines season 2, episode 2, “Blood Harvest,” airs tonight. Here are five hints about what to expect from the episode.

The Wayward Pines season 2 premiere picked up a few months after Ben was reawakened at the end of season 1, more than three years after the death of Ethan Burke. The First Generation, led by Jason Higgins, is in control of Wayward Pines and is in the final stages of rooting out a rebellion led by Ethan’s son, Ben.

Amidst this, Dr. Theo Yedlin is awakened because there is a need of a medical professional and little time for explanations.

Here are five teases for episode 2, “Blood Harvest”:

The fates of those outside the wall are revealed

At the end of the season premiere, Jason sent Theo, Ben and Xander outside the wall to be killed by Abbies. While Abbies did start swarming the area, however, they seemed to be more interested in running toward the town wall. The fates of all three are revealed in this episode — though I’ll give you three guesses about protagonist Theo’s fate, and the first two guesses don’t count.

Someone is seriously wounded

With people going outside the walls of Wayward Pines, it should come as no surprise that someone would be seriously wounded with Abbies on the loose. Considering Jason just sent the town’s only doctor outside the wall to be killed, though, does not bode well for someone being attacked and seriously injured by Abbies, who have no sense of restraint or mercy.

Rebecca has a surprising reveal

Rebecca Yedlin, Theo’s wife, makes a startling reveal in this episode. Surprisingly, she knows more than Theo does about Wayward Pines, and there is a reason for that. She’s also far more interested in toeing the party line than her husband is because she, like many citizens of Wayward Pines, likes being alive.

Another season 1 character returns

We’ve already seen several characters from the first season, a couple of them coming to gruesome ends in the season premiere. (Farewell, Kate. I’ll miss you.) Another familiar face will appear in “Blood Harvest,” and they are not keeping their mouth shut, as the powers that be in Wayward Pines would prefer them to. Whether this leads to trouble remains to be seen, but I don’t expect this person to stay silent about the goings on in the town.

We meet Djimon Hounsou’s character

Academy Award-nominated actor Djimon Hounsou makes his Wayward Pines debut in “Blood Harvest.” Going into season 2, we knew that Hounsou is playing CJ Mitchum, “an original resident of Wayward Pines and a historian for the town with extensive knowledge of its complex origins, and the one person who can provide a unique bridge between the current world of Wayward Pines and the previous world that humans inhabited.”

Bonus: Yes, more people die

With an episode titled “Blood Harvest,” it should come as no surprise that there will be deaths. Hell, it should come as no surprise in an episode of Wayward Pines period that there will be deaths. Does the person who is seriously injured die? Could those sent outside the wall be killed?

You’ll have to watch and see.

Wayward Pines season 2, episode 2, “Blood Harvest,” airs tonight at 9:00 p.m. ET on Fox.
