Troian Bellisario is returning to the small screen — this time to star opposite Patrick Dempsey!

According to Deadline, Pretty Little Liars alum Troian Bellisario has officially joined the cast of Ways & Means— a brand new political drama pilot coming down the pipeline at CBS.

Bellisario, who will serve as the series’ female lead, will play the role of Claire– a young, Democratic congresswoman who’s been newly elected. She’s described as “progressive, idealistic,” and as someone who “leads with her intelligence and straightforwardness.”

Meanwhile, Bellisario’s co-star (and former Grey’s Anatomy heartthrob) Patrick Dempsey is set to portray a powerful congressional leader who has “lost faith in politics.”

The series centers on what transpires after Dempsey’s congressional leader finds himself crossing party lines to work in secret alongside Bellisario’s Claire in order to right the political wrongs he helped create.

Also joining Troian Bellisario and Patrick Dempsey in the forthcoming political drama is actress Amanda Warren, who is no stranger to political dramas.

Previously, Warren appeared on CBS’ recently cancelled Madam Secretary, where she played the role of White House Counsel, Olivia Mason.

Warren will play the role of Jerlene Brooks on Ways & Means, though at this time there doesn’t seem to be too much information available about how her character fits into the fold of things.

Behind the camera, the forthcoming political drama pilot hails from SEAL Team showrunner Ed Redlich, Republican political consultant Mike Murphy, Nina Tassler, and Denise Di Novi. Redlich and Murphy also co-wrote the script.

Currently, there’s no word on when we can expect Ways & Means to premiere via CBS.
