After a week of hype, the first official trailer for sci-fi genre bender Looper has been released online! But will it live up to the anticipation?

The wait is finally over for movie fans, who have been drip-fed clips and teasers for the trailer over the last few days. TriStar Pictures’ use of Hollywood’s latest favourite marketing gimmick has been the victim of controversy over the sheer amount of “trailer trailers” – but it has certainly worked. Anticipation for the film is now at fever pitch, while a week ago hardly anyone was aware of its existence.

Check out the first full look at the film, which has just been released on iTunes Movie Trailers website.

Looper stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Bruce Willis and Emily Blunt and is directed by Rian Johnson. The sci-fi thriller will feature time travel, gangster culture, and high-concept technology – with elements of film noir due to a gritty and bloody plot.
