HBO has released a first look trailer for The Newsroom – one of the most anticipated new shows of the Summer – from Oscar and Emmy winner Aaron Sorkin (The Social Network). Take a look at the trailer, entitled “Changed Man,” after the jump!

The show features an all-star cast which includes Jeff Daniels as Will McAvoy, the influential lead anchor of a popular 24-hour cable news channel who must deal with the backlash after a rant filled with unpopular political beliefs. Emily Mortimer (Hugo), Alison Pill (Midnight in Paris), John Gallgher Jr. (Margaret), Olivia Munn (Magic Mike), Dev Patel (Slumdog Millionaire), Thomas Sadoski (Happy Hour), Jane Fonda (Coming Home) and Sam Waterston (“Law & Order”) also star.

The series is produced by Scott Rudin (The Social Network) and Alan Poul (“Six Feet Under”), with Greg Mottola (Superbad) directing the show’s pilot. The Newsroom premieres June 24 on HBO. Does this trailer increase your anticipation?
