With the Super Bowl this Sunday, HBO has released the next Girls episode early. Read a description of the episode here and if you’re able to watch it, let us know what you thought!

HBO’s streaming service, HBO Go, is an extension of the network and allows HBO subscribers to view all the episodes and movies available on the channel. As part of an early preview special, they’ve made season 2’s fourth episode of Girls, “It’s a Shame About Ray,” available a week ahead of schedule.

In this episode, we see the consequences of the third episode, “Bad Friend.” When Hannah throws a celebratory party for her new freelance job at an online media outlet, tension grows between Marnie and Audrey, Charlie’s new girlfriend.

Ray and Shoshanna are also headed to a new level in their relationship, as things start to get pretty serious. Marnie is still trying to reconcile with Hannah about the secret she and Elijah hold, even with a new guy on her mind.

Jessa meets Thomas John’s parents for dinner, where we get to see the free-spirited Jessa we grew to love in season 1 reemerge again.

As always, ruckus ensues and the ladies of Girls continue to surprise and intrigue us.

If you have an HBO subscription, you can access HBO Go for free to view the episode a week early. Just put in your cable provider and create an account.

If you don’t have HBO or HBO Go but still watch Girls at its regularly scheduled time, “It’s a Shame About Ray” will premiere on Saturday, Feb. 2 because of the Super Bowl. It will show again at its regular time on Sunday, Feb. 3.

If you’ve watched the episode already, what did you think?
