Check out the opening sequence of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 14 – and a first look at a brand-new agent.
Though fans have been waiting four long weeks for their rank-and-file heroes to return, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 14 will pick up only hours after the previous episode concluded. The episode, titled “T.A.H.I.T.I.,” will focus on the desperate measures which Agent Coulson will take to save the life of injured sorta-kinda agent Skye.
The newest sneak peek released from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 14 gives us a sobering look at why those desperate measures are necessary.
In the opening sequence of “T.A.H.I.T.I.,” Team Coulson rushes Skye to a S.H.I.E.L.D. medical facility, seeking treatment for the gunshot wounds inflicted on her by Ian Quinn in “T.R.A.C.K.S.” The team, each dealing with anger and guilt, waits nervously for good news from the surgeon. Unfortunately, she has little to offer them. Skye is dying, and the surgeon urges Coulson to contact Skye’s family.
“We’re her family,” he numbly responds.
Reeling from the news, Agent May bullets back to the Bus and starts beating the crap out of Ian Quinn. Coulson interrupts before she can actually kill him, and tells May to pilot the plane; they are going in search of the doctors who brought Coulson back to life.
As an earlier clip and stills from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 14 indicate, Coulson’s search proves dangerous enough that Ward’s much-lauded Supervising Officer John Garrett (Bill Paxton) is brought on board to help.
But the guest-stars don’t stop with Paxton. A new still photo has been revealed on Marvel.com, giving us our first look at another new character making his debut in “T.A.H.I.T.I.” – Agent Triplett, played by BJ Britt.
In addition, Elena Satine will reportedly make her first appearance as the Asgardian sorceress Lorelei in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 14. This role will carry over into next week’s episode, in which Thor‘s Lady Sif arrives to deal with Lorelei.
But exciting as that is, the official synopsis for “T.A.H.I.T.I.,” focuses on the immediate crisis at hand.
Coulson goes on the attack to save Skye – enlisting the aid of Ward’s former S.O. John Garrett – and uncovers shocking truths about his own life and S.H.I.E.L.D.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 1, episode 14, “T.A.H.I.T.I.,” will air on Tuesday, March 4 at 8:00 p.m. on ABC.
