Check out the trailer for the upcoming movie Arena, which stars Twilight‘s Kellan Lutz, Vampire Diaries‘ Nina Dobrev, Lost‘s Daniel Dae-Kim and Samuel L. Jackson.
The film, which goes straight to DVD on October 11th, is about Lutz’ character David Lord, who, “finds himself forced into the savage world of a modern gladiatorial arena, where men fight to the death for the entertainment of the online masses,” the IMDb description reads.
Previously dubbed Deathgames and The Killing Game before being renamed Arena, and being forced to fight for the enjoyment of the online masses? Does this sound vaguely Hunger Games-ish to anyone else? Or are its Gladiator similarities too big to overlook?
