Watch Dogs, one of the most anticipated games of this year, has seen its release date pushed back by Ubisoft. Elsewhere, the initial sales figures for Pokémon X and Y are out, and Sony releases a musical promo for the PlayStation 4.

Ubisoft has pushed the release dates of Watch Dogs and The Crew back to mid-2014. Ubisoft told investors during a conference call that Watch Dogs will now release in the first quarter of 2014’s fiscal year (ie. between April 1 – June 30), as opposed to the expected November 19 release.

Racing game The Crew will now launch between July 1 and September 30, pushed back from the Spring 2014.

The Watch Dogs development team stated that the release was delayed because they were not prepared to “compromise on quality,” and would spend the extra time to “polish and fine tune” the game.

The 48 hour sales figures for Pokémon X and Y are stellar, with the two games combined pushing more than four million copies so far.

This makes Pokémon X and Y, combined, the fastest-selling 3DS game of all time.

These high numbers can be attributed to the simultaneous global release of Pokémon X and Y, which has never been done before for the handheld game series.

Pokémon X and Y released worldwide on October 12.

Sony has released a new commercial for the PlayStation 4. The commercial, part of its ‘Greatness Awaits’ campaign, is set to “Perfect Day,” the classic 1972 Lou Reed song.

Sony’s PlayStation 4 launches in North America on November 15 and Europe on November 29.

Nintendo is celebrating the release of The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Two Worlds and the Year of Luigi with special edition 3DS XLs for both themes.

Unfortunately, the two consoles will only be sold in Europe. A special preorder bonus for those that preorder the The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Two Worlds 3DS XL at GAME stores in the U.K. will be a fun musical chest toy.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Two Worlds 3DS XL will have the game pre-downloaded on it.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Two Worlds 3DS XL is available November 22, while the Year of Luigi one comes out earlier on November 1.
