It can be easy to feel overwhelmed by the bad in the world, but our very own Captain America, Chris Evans, is here to combat that darkness with an adorable video of Evans first meeting rescue dog, Dodger.
April 11 was National Pet Day, so chances are your newsfeeds were filled to bursting with pictures of people and their beloved animals. Chris Evan’s social media timelines were no exception, where he shared some serious love for his adorable doggo, Dodger.

If you spend about three seconds perusing Evans’ socials, you’ll know that he seriously loves that dog. In the past, he’s posted stuff like countdowns to the next time he gets to see Dodger after the two have been separated while Evans is shooting a movie and adorable reunion videos when they get back together. But on National Pet Day, he posted something that truly warmed our hearts.
Dodger was a rescue dog, and the very first time the two met, Evans knew this was the dog for him. Luckily, he had the presence of mind to record the entire encounter, and he shared the precious video of the day Dodger first met his Captain America. It’s basically the best thing we’ve ever seen.

Seriously though, this video is adorable. We love the bond that Evans has with Dodger, and it’s even more magical that they seemed to love each other from day one. Dodger and Evans make a great pair together, and we’re so happy they found each other.
