Walking Dead has officially released a trailer and a title for their third spin-off. TWD family, say hello to The Walking Dead: World Beyond!

We’ve been gobbling up every little morsel the team over at The Walking Dead drops for us about the franchise’s third spin-off, and we’ve got some great new info to sink our teeth into!

First off, we know the show’s official title will be The Walking Dead: World Beyond. As we’ve previously reported, the show will focus on a group of young people coming of age in the apocalypse.

In the new teaser for the show, we get a glimpse of the group of survivors we’ll be following on the show, and a brand new, super-sketchy cast member. Get your first glimpse of World Beyond in the teaser below!

So this trailer is super short, and it gives us a lot more questions than answers. However, we do get a great look at our new survivors played by Aliyah Royale, Alexa Mansour, Annet Mahendru, Nicolas Cantu, Hal Cumpston, and Nico Tortorella.

As we watch these characters grow up in post-apocalyptic America, we’ll watch them choose their paths in life. Some of the characters will become heroes and some will become villains.

The Walking Dead has always done a great job of making us look at issues of morality and right and wrong and makes us wonder how those things change in a post-apocalyptic landscape. Watching teens grapple with these huge issues alongside just trying to grow up and survive is going to be fascinating.

But that’s not all the teaser had to offer! We also get our first look at the newly-announced cast member, the Emmy Award-winning actress, Julia Ormond. And while we don’t get a ton of information on her character, she looks like she is going to be an intense one to watch on this show.

Ormond plays the leader of, as AMC explains, a “large, sophisticated, and formidable force.” And for the apocalypse, they seem pretty organized with some truly iconic branding and their very own helicopters.

There is a lot to be excited about for Walking Dead fans. World Beyond looks like it will be absolutely amazing, and a great addition to the TWD family.

You can catch the show when it debuts on AMC in the spring of 2020.
