New York Comic-Con took place this weekend, and the cast and crew of The Walking Dead made a strong presence as the season 3 premiere was approaching. Could some merchandise from NYCC give away spoilers for later this season?
Though we didn’t make it out to New York this weekend, Chris and Jason from The Talking Dead podcast spent some time checking things out. They went to the panels and signings, but one of the most intriguing things they discovered was a t-shirt Chris bought on Friday. Needless to say, there are spoilers ahead.
The t-shirt is quite plain, and features the words “The Remains,” which we can only assume means the only survivors. It spoofs the classic “Ramones” logo. Take a look at the shirt, seen below.
There are only four names listed on the shirt: Rick, Michonne, Carl, and Andrea. So could this mean that these four will be our only survivors after this season? Are we going to lose the rest of our group making the trek to the prison?
Maybe this only means that they are the ones to stay in the prison, but we doubt that. So does this mean we’re going to be losing Glenn, Maggie, T-Dog, Herschel, Beth, Carol, Daryl, and Lori? That’s a lot of main character deaths for one season.
The one most likely to die has to be Lori, since she and her baby both die in the comics at the end of their time in the prison. Certain characters like Daryl and T-Dog aren’t even in the comics though, so anything can happen to them. But it’s not like the show always follows the comics so closely anyway.
We don’t know what is going to happen this season, Danai Gurira said on The Talking Dead Sunday night that we shouldn’t even try to guess. Does this t-shirt give us a few spoilers though?
We can never really be too sure when it comes to The Walking Dead.
