Negan is coming, as a new trailer for The Walking Dead season 6 finale confirms.

An international trailer touting the season finale of The Walking Dead’s sixth season (which airs next Sunday, not this Sunday) reveals a glimpse of Negan played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan as well as his bat, Lucille.

As we approach the season finale, fans are expecting that someone will fall victim to Negan’s bat, but there’s still a big question mark on who will take the hit. At this point it seems too obvious for it to be Glenn (especially after showrunners faked us out earlier in the season), so some fans believe it could be Daryl, Abraham, or Maggie who meet Lucille.

Of those three, Daryl and Maggie would be two of the most crushing blows to the show. Daryl’s been a beloved member of the cast since he first showed his face. Similarly, Maggie is beloved by fans — and she’s currently pregnant.

But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. This Sunday’s new episode of The Walking Dead is the penultimate episode before the season finale, and we don’t expect Negan to be appearing in this one. According to previews, one mission during the episode will be tracking down Carol, who decided to leave Alexandria (for good?) in last week’s episode. Our beloved cookie baker said she had to go because she couldn’t face killing people anymore. And if she can’t kill, she can’t be of help to the community.

Daryl is the one who’s heading out to search for her. Whether or not he finds her, we expect he’ll run into some of Negan’s men.
