Last night’s special episode of The Talking Dead after the series premiere of Fear the Walking Dead included two new looks at season 6 of The Walking Dead (Dead! Dead! Dead!).

The Chris Hardwick-hosted Walking Dead talk show made a special appearance Sunday night to celebrate the series premiere of the zombie apocalypse drama’s spinoff. And since all of us are fans of the original Dead, AMC pumped up everyone’s anticipation by debuting two new season 6 promos.

In the first clip from The Walking Dead season 6, we see Abraham and Sasha on a drive to… somewhere. And they’re talking about… something… big…. going on. Unfortunately, the clip offers little context and even less action, but showrunner Scott M. Gimple said last night that the clip was purposely uneventful as to not spoil anything.

Nonetheless, the clip is significant in that it’s the first scene to be released other than what we saw during the San Diego Comic-Con trailer, so take a look:

The second video from season 6 released last night was much more interesting: It was a moody promo video depicting each of the lead characters (Daryl, Maggie, Glenn, Carl, Abe, Sasha, Carol, Morgan, and Rick) looking directly into the camera as a light quickly passes over them in the darkness. It’s a striking video because of The Phantoms’ “We Carry On” and the fact that Carol is still sporting her “I’m a plain, unassuming mother” wardrobe:

“Making it now… do you really think you can do that without getting blood on your hands?” Rick (Andrew Lincoln) asks at the end of the video. This is no doubt in reference to the struggles Rick encountered at the end of season 5 when he fell into deep disagreements with the people of Alexandria.

The Walking Dead season 6 premieres Sunday, October 11 at 9 p.m. eastern on AMC. If you can’t wait, you should be watching the companion series Fear the Walking Dead (everyone else is!).
