Previews for next week’s episode of The Walking Dead season 5 depict Beth finally back on our television screens. But will she be back in Rick’s group?

Based on what we’re seeing so far, it looks like Beth is going to be removed from the rest of her friends for a while.

In the trailer for The Walking Dead season 5, episode 4 you can hear Daryl talking about Beth with Tyreese and a couple of others, but it doesn’t sound like he was able to rescue her. Take a look:

Last night in our recap we speculated that Beth is the one Daryl is saying “come on out” to at the end of the episode, but based on what we hear above, perhaps it’s not.

A clip from The Walking Dead season 5, episode 4 depicts Beth waking up in an Atlanta hospital where she’s greeted by Dr. Steven Edwards and Officer Dawn Lerner. The latter doesn’t appear to be the nicest person, as the slap she delivers in the above video proves.

Given what happened on The Walking Dead season 5, episode 3, now seems like a good place for Rick’s storyline to temporarily pause. We can foresee episode 4 taking place entirely from Beth’s perspective so viewers can finally catch up with her.

If Beth isn’t the one who’s with Daryl at the end of episode 3, maybe Carol is with him. But is she hurt? Why the dramatic entrance? We’re going to be spending this week concerned about both of the potentially-dangered women.

There’s also a chance that Daryl could be with Morgan, who appeared at the end of the season 5 premiere. Since he was following in Rick’s footsteps, it’s only a matter of time before he shows up. Series creator Robert Kirkman has said that they have big plans for Rick’s former friend. Regardless, we think that episode 4 is going to be solely set on Beth, set get ready to wait a short while for the Daryl reveal.

What do you think lies ahead on ‘The Walking Dead’?

Episode 4, titled “Slabtown,” airs Sunday, November 2 at 9 p.m. eastern/pacific on AMC, and things are sure to get creepy.
