Following last Sunday’s huge Walking Dead season 5 premiere, episode 2 will see Rick and company hitting the road for Washington D.C.

This is a familiar sight, isn’t it? In the first still to be released from Walking Dead season 5, episode 2, above, survivors are walking through the woods as they begin a big new journey. In another still, Glen is in some sort of building and looking worried:

We’re loving seeing Carl and Michonne continue to stick together even though they’ve been reunited with their other friends. Their relationship is one of our favorites in the series (and we’re still a little hopeful that Michonne and Rick are eventually going to show a romantic interest in one another).

The synopsis for The Walking Dead season 5, episode 2 titled “Strangers” reads, “with supplies running low and not knowing whether to trust the people around them, Rick leads a mission where the risk might not be worth the reward.”

One could guess that the episode title is referring to some new people that Rick and company will meet out on the road. Or are the “strangers” themselves?

A clip from Sunday’s episode depicts the gang on the road – and Sasha and Bob sharing a quick kiss – when they hear screams in the distance. Carl wants to go save the person (who may be new character Father Gabriel). Perhaps the “Strangers” title refers to Father Gabriel’s thoughts on Rick’s gang.

The Walking Dead season 5, episode 2 airs Sunday, October 19 at 9 p.m. eastern/pacific on AMC followed by a new episode of The Talking Dead.
