Can tonight’s new episode of The Walking Dead season 5 live up to the excitement that the premiere brought last week? Let’s hope so!

In last week’s Walking Dead season 5 premiere we watched as Rick and company broke out of Terminus and took down several of the “sanctuary’s” people. They largely had Carol to thank because she caused a giant explosion that sent the place spiraling into mayhem. At the end of the episode we were treated to a reunion between Rick and Carol, then the latter introduced Rick to Judith and Tyreese. It was a scene that had us crying.

Now we turn to The Walking Dead season 5, episode 2 which airs at 9 p.m. eastern/pacific tonight on AMC. The episode is titled “Strangers” and will include the introduction of Father Gabriel, a character comic readers will recognize.

The synopsis for episode 2 reads, “with supplies running low and not knowing whether to trust the people around them, Rick leads a mission where the risk might not be worth the reward.”

Did you ever wonder how Carol and Tyreese – and now the others – are supposed to keep Judith well fed with the proper nutrition she needs? Perhaps her baby food is one of the “supplies” that they’ll be running short of tonight. A raiding of a house or pharmacy will have to be in order during episode 2.

A trailer for The Walking Dead season 5, episode 2 confirms that Father Gabriel will be making his debut in the story line when Rick and company come across his church:
