AMC has released the first Walking Dead season 4B trailer which gives us a fresh look at what’s ahead on the second half of the season.

Since The Walking Dead’s midseason finale late last year, we’ve known that the survivors will be separated when the story resumes because of the Governor’s prison takedown.

This trailer shows many of the humans out on their own and – you guessed it – taking on zombies that cross their path. There are several great action-packed shots, including one of Michonne who looks absolutely exhausted after a zombie battle. Watch the new trailer below:

Absent from the new preview is any sign of a new home. Everyone is out in the woods in search of each other.

The synopsis for season 4B reads, “Following the devastating events of the season finale, Rick and the group are still reeling from the loss of their home, family, and friends. With the destruction of the prison, we see the group of survivors broken apart and sent on divergent paths, unsure of everyone else’s fate.” A poster depicts Rick and Carl with the tagline “Don’t Look Back.”

The trailer isn’t as long as we could’ve hoped as we clamor for new material, but it makes the wait just a little bit easier. There’s just over three weeks of waiting left!

One of the biggest cliffhangers: During the midseason finale, Rick and Carl discovered the youngest member of their family, Judith, missing. They assumed she’s dead, but many viewers think that she was picked up by one of their friends.

The Walking Dead season 4B premieres Sunday, February 9 at 9 p.m. eastern/pacific on AMC.
