AMC has released The Walking Dead season 4 key art which depicts Rick (played by Andrew Lincoln) and a hole in the prison fence.

Like previous posters for The Walking Dead, in the new season 4 poster we see only Rick. This time he’s looking a bit messy (take a close look at his hair) and he’s standing in an area where the fence guarding the prison was ripped open.

Were the zombies some how able to tear a hole in the fence? Is this the new threat from the walkers?

As the poster reminds viewers, The Walking Dead season 4 premieres Sunday, October 13 on AMC.

Earlier today we shared comments from comic creator Robert Kirkman who addressed rumors of Rick and Michonne entering a relationship.

The Walking Dead season 4, episode 1 is titled “30 Days Without an Accident” and suggests that things are fine and dandy at the prison until the new episodes begin sharing the new storyline.

Season 3 wrapped up with Rick and company bringing the residents of Woodbury over to the prison to give them a better life without The Governor, and in the new season it looks like the home of Rick and company has been spruced up to make life a little better in the zombie-infested world.

Does the new poster suggest Rick’s darkest days are ahead?
