Tonight’s The Walking Dead season 4, episode 7 will once again put the spotlight on the Governor as a new group forms.

Update: Read our ‘Walking Dead’ recap where we discuss tonight’s episode!

Reads the official synopsis from AMC for The Walking Dead season 4, episode 7 titled “Dead Weight,” “a new and scary chapter is unfolding at a camp outside the prison. Will peace be attainable with the addition of new members?”

We presume the storyline will pick up from last week’s episode in which the Governor kicked off what is essentially a new family and a second chance at having a daughter. At the end we saw the former Woodbury leader running into one of his old associates. Will he connect his former Woodbury team with his new family? He may have no choice.

Two photos from the episode appear to depict the new camp:

A clip shows the Governor with two men on a walk in the woods when they come across a zombie with an interesting message left on its body:

Finally, the trailer for “Dead Weight” shows that the Governor is not the leader of the camp. This episode almost looks like an alternate version of the show’s early days:

We’re enjoying this escape from the prison setting because things have been all too grim due to the infection. With that said, we’d like to see things get settled between Rick and the Governor in the form of the latter’s death.

The Walking Dead season 4, episode 7 airs Sunday, November 24 at 9 p.m. eastern/pacific on AMC.

What do you think of these Governor-centric ‘Walking Dead’ episodes?

We think they bode well for the spinoff that AMC has in the works for a debut in 2015. Earlier this month we learned that the new show may be set during the early days of the zombie outbreak when humans were still trying to contain it.
