Last week’s Walking Dead mid-season 4 premiere kept the spotlight on only three of the show’s characters. This week, the story opens up.

Update: Read our recap of the episode!

The Walking Dead season 4, episode 10, titled “Inmates,” premieres tonight at 9 p.m. eastern/pacific on AMC.

The title in itself is interesting given the fact that the show no longer has a prison. Are the characters “inmates” in that they’re trapped in this new, unknown world where there is no safety?

A clip from episode 10 shows Beth asking Daryl to go track Rick, Michonne, and the others. Daryl is completely silent in this clip and looks like he’s deeply bothered by something (The prison? Hershel? Judith? The apocalypse? The possibilities are endless).

Daryl does appear to come around, because in this second clip we see him and Beth on the move:

The synopsis for the episode reads: “The group encounters many obstacles in their quest to find stability and safety, but sometimes all they have to guide them is hope.”

In case you thought last week’s episode felt slow due to the lack of characters, this one appears to focus on a larger group, which may put a faster pace on things.
