AMC has released a great new video from the set of The Walking Dead season 4 where the cast and crew have very high praise for the upcoming episodes.

Watch below:

“The scripts this season are beyond great,” says lead actor Andrew Lincoln who plays Rick. “They’re deeper, darker – I don’t know how these guys do it in the writers room but it gets bigger and bigger.”

“I’m more excited this season than I’ve ever been,” he adds later in the video.

The Walking Dead season 4 executive producer and comic creator Robert Kirkman teased a new look for the prison. “We’re making everything look different and new and unique for this season. I think there are going to be some really cool elements this season that will rock you,” he said.

“The prison has evolved quite a bit between seasons 3 and 4,” Kirkman added. The goal was for the survivors to have built more of a home.

We suspect we’ll see the improved, calmer prison set at the beginning of season 4, episode 1. The episode’s title is “30 Days Without An Accident,” suggesting things have been very well since the season 3 finale in which Rick and company were moving the stranded Woodbury residents move into their abode.

The Walking Dead season 4 premieres Sunday, October 13.
