AMC’s The Walking Dead season 3 is now available on DVD/Blu-ray, and Hypable received an advanced copy to check out its special features.

With easily some of our favorite episodes of the series so far, The Walking Dead season 3 arrives on DVD/Blu-ray and allows fans to relive The Governor’s (played by David Morrissey) threats towards Rick and company through the 16-episode run.

The season also included the introduction of the survivors’ new home, the prison, and a new fan-favorite character Michonne (Danai Gurira).

The Walking Dead season 3 DVD/Blu-ray combo pack includes never-before-seen featurettes, audio commentaries, deleted scenes (like this brilliant one depicting Carol threatening Merle), as well as all sixteen episodes that you may’ve watched on AMC earlier this year.

While the featurettes give nice inside looks behind the making of the season, it’s the audio commentaries and deleted scenes that were our favorite bonus features. The audio commentaries were hosted by cast members like Danai Gurira and producers Greg Nicotero, Gale Anne Hurd, and series creator Robert Kirkman.

The Walking Dead season 3 DVD/Blu-ray can be purchased by clicking here and ordering at Amazon.

Also worth noting is this The Walking Dead season 3 DVD/Blu-ray limited edition “Zombie Head Tank” which lets you decorate your home as if you’re The Governor (water not included). No additional video features are included with this set compared to the aforementioned set. You can order here on Amazon.

Worth the purchase?
