AMC has released its first sneak peek of The Walking Dead season 3 premiere, “Seed.” Take a peek to see what we can expect for our survivors, and it looks like they’re struggling a little.
Rick and his group are on the road, still fleeing the walker attack that lost them Herschel’s farm. It seems like the walkers are making a greater presence, with groups of them surrounding the area. Our group seems to have hit a roadblock, and they’re mapping out their next move.
Rick sends Carl to keep watch at the front of the group, and he’s still wearing Rick’s hat. But come on, Rick, haven’t you learned anything? Don’t leave Carl alone. You know you can’t trust him by himself.
Beth is also keeping lookout (with an axe!) while the group stops to plan which way to go next. We’d like to see her taking a more active role this season and developing into a stronger character.
In this Walking Dead promo, Maggie, T-Dog, Glenn, and Daryl seem to be at a loss for where they can head next, since the walkers are multiplying. Rick takes over the planning. He doubles back, even though the group resists a little.
But after Rick’s “this isn’t a democracy anymore” statement, the rest of the crew knows to follow his guidance. After all, it’s now a Ricktatorship.
After circling back around, Rick’s plan is to push west since they “haven’t been through there yet.” We wonder if that will cause them to come across the prison.
But Rick also wants to settle down for a little bit. It seems like Lori is struggling with her pregnancy.
“We can’t keep going house to house. We need to find some place to hole up for a few weeks.”
Is Lori’s pregnancy causing tension among the group? It could become a danger for the group if they have to spend too much time sitting around, waiting for Lori to be travel-ready.
