Fans of The Walking Dead video game can rejoice – today you can finally get your hands on the fourth installment of this episodic series.

At the end of episode 3, Lee and the gang had made its way to Savannah. Now they think they may have a lead on finding more survivors. But when they get to Crawford, they find that things are not as they had hoped. With the release of the trailer last week, we got a glimpse of what to expect.

Kenny is drinking and says, “If now ain’t the time for a drink…” So in this trailer we’re getting hints that the group is starting to unravel – Lee is feeling tension with Ben for not protecting Clementine, Kenny is getting drunk, and there’s some outside source messing with the entire group by sending them strange radio messages.

What was going on inside Crawford? It looks like someone was videotaping whatever was going on here, and they appear to be in a church and/or medical center. We also hear one of the ladies say that whatever happened here was “passed around like a ghost story, except this one was true.

The penultimate episode in this five-part series creates new challenges for the group and for the player. IGN explains the setup:

“Every episode starts with a simple goal that gets more and more complicated as the chapters roll by, but there’s something about Episode 4 that’s different than the others. Perhaps it’s that Kenny never really drives home what his plan is after we get on the boat with our limited fuel, but the motivation to get on the water never seems all that thought out and only gets muddier as Lee worries about the task at hand. Oddly, the voice on the walkie talkie that developer Telltale Games teased at the end of Episode 3 isn’t the focus of Episode 4.”

According to Greg over at IGN, this game has a different feeling from the previous three installments.

“Actions matter more than ever, but the bumps in the road mean that Episode 4 doesn’t feel like The Walking Dead: The Game we’ve been playing.”

But maybe that’s not necessarily a good thing. He also says, “Episode 4 is fun, but the events that stand out all come in the final few minutes.”
