Last night’s Walking Dead season 6 premiered offered a scary cliffhanger: Some moron made a huge sound blare near Alexandria, ruining the big plan that was underway.

Rick’s plan to re-route a huge group of walkers away from Alexandria was going great until someone set off a very loud sound back at/near the safe zone. Rick watched in horror as the walkers slowly started turning towards the sound — and Alexandria.

Presumably the walkers will be making it to the safe zone and giving Alexandria’s walls their greatest test yet.

A preview for The Walking Dead 6×02 offers a couple clues about what’ll be happening. Notably, Carol is finally dropping her I’m-just-a-simple-grandmother act to protect their home. Good thing she just received some weapons training, right? ;) ;) ;)

Now the question is: Who caused the sound to go off at Alexandria? We’re just as stumped as anyone else, so we took to Twitter to see if viewers had any opinions on the matter.

The answer appears to be The Wolves, if we believe fellow viewers:

Logically speaking The Wolves make the most sense. They had their eyes on Alexandria late last season and were briefly referenced by Rick and Daryl on the season 6 premiere. The Wolves would love to see the safe zone come crumbling down, so they are the most likely suspects.

If we’re thinking about this illogically, it could actually be someone who lives at Alexandria like Father Gabriel. The priest stupidly let walkers through the gates at the end of season 5, and it doesn’t seem unlike him to make that mistake twice. It’s possible Gabriel pulled the alarm to get back at Rick, who told Father he couldn’t help execute their walker re-route plan:

There’s also a chance it’s another disgruntled Alexandria resident who didn’t agree with Deanna and Rick’s plan. But again, why would you want to cause damage to your own home?

We wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t get a firm answer until an episode beyond next week’s. Rick and Alexandria will be a little preoccupied fighting walkers to start investigating who made the sound.

With that said, it shouldn’t be too hard for the characters to figure out who did it. All they have to do is find the physical location of the sound’s source!

Let’s just hope that whoever did it is taken care of. If it was The Wolves, we can expect Rick to change his mind about leaving the compound. They’ll need to head out to eliminate the bad guys before they cause more trouble at Alexandria.

Who do you think pulled the alarm?
