With all of the shock and drama from this past Sunday’s episode of The Walking Dead, we’d expect a little lull in the action for our emotional selves to heal. It doesn’t look like we’ll be getting that, though.

Spoiler warning if you haven’t seen last week’s episode or read the comics:

Despite the major character deaths of T-Dog and Lori on Sunday’s episode “Killer Within,” the prison group has to carry on. There’s also that whole other group of people over in Woodbury we’ve been following. So what can we expect from Sunday’s episode, “Say the Word”?

When Entertainment Weekly asked Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman when we’re going to meet the Governor’s daughter, calling her a “cute little tyke,” Kirkman roared with laughter.

“I don’t want to reveal too much. But I will say that the opening scene of episode 5 is, uh…it’s going to be a pretty memorable one. So be on the look out for that.”

When we meet the Governor in Kirkman’s original comic form, we soon meet the Governor’s daughter, Penny, whom he’s been keeping chained up in his apartment. Why would he lock up his little girl? Probably because she’s a walker (or “biter” as he calls them).

In the comics, the Governor takes body parts from people he kills or tortures to feed to his little darling. Based on Kirkman’s comics, we can assume that we’ll definitely be meeting her at some point this season.

We’re looking forward to getting a closer look into the Governor’s personal life, aside from his wicked golf skills.

The Governor shared with Andrea in “Killer Within” that his wife died in a car accident 18 months before the zombie epidemic hit. He seems to indicate that he also lost his daughter, but he never really says what happened to her.

We wonder if he’s keeping her somewhere near his room full of heads-in-tanks.
