If you haven’t heard about Wait With Me by Amy Daws, stop everything and check it out. You won’t be disappointed.

About ‘Wait With Me’ by Amy Daws:

When romance novelist Kate Smith suddenly gets writer’s block as she’s beginning the final installment of her international bestselling erotic Bed ‘n Breakfast series, she’ll do pretty much anything to get her groove back.

Like sneak into a Tire Depot waiting room because her words flow there just like complimentary coffee-smooth, sweet, and scorchingly hot.

She manages to fly under the radar until the rugged and charming mechanic, Miles Hudson, notices the quirky redhead slinking in and out of the employees only entrance.

But she’s way too intriguing to blow the whistle on.

Doing a test-drive of her new book idea sounds like a much better option.

‘Wait With Me’ by Amy Daws review:

As you may or may not know, Amy Daws has had a not-so-secret love affair with Tires Tires Tires, her local car care center. One day, while getting her tires changed, Daws discovered that their waiting room was her magical writing spot that could end her writers block and get the words flowing.

It also made for some hilarious social media posts that readers and the romance community fell in love with. As soon as I heard that a book had been inspired by this whole situation, I just knew that I had to get my hands on it as soon as possible.

If you’re wondering, is it possible for Daws to get the magic of Tires Tires Tires into her book Wait With Me — the answer is yes! Although the shop is called Tire Depot in the book, it’s every bit of fun reading about as it is watching Daws’ adventures play out in real life. And there are a few familiar shenanigans that make it into the book, but I won’t spoil them!

“My hero is just busting out the lube when I notice a large frame standing peculiarly close to me. I glance up and nearly squeal in shock as the same hunky mechanic stares down at me. How did he see me back here? This spot is super secluded, and no one ever sits here. ‘Can I help you?’ I ask, pulling my earbuds out and taking in the broad width of his shoulders. Today, Mr. Book Boyfriend is wearing blue jeans and a black, fitted Tire Depot T-shirt. He’s much cleaner than he was yesterday in his dirty coveralls that made me reconsider the profession of my current book hero.”

Kate Smith (a.k.a. Mercedes Lee Loveletter) is the heroine of Wait With Me. She’s a romance writer dealing with an annoying ex, but that doesn’t get her fun and sweet personality down. When she starts writing at Tire Depot, another complication arises in the form of Miles Hudson. He quickly notices her constant appearance in the shop their flirtmance goes from friendly to sexy faster than either of them was expecting.

However, Miles has some baggage of his own. He’s still wounded from the big betrayal of his ex and it’s left him with some jealousy issues. He’s nowhere near ready for a serious relationship, but he can’t help but be drawn to Kate. Except that he thinks her name is Mercedes, because for some reason she gave him her pen name instead of her real name when he started questioning her at Tire Depot.

When the two accidentally run into each other at a bar, sparks fly and their flirting goes to the next level. Kate/Mercedes is drawn to Miles even more when she admits to him that she writes sexy books and he doesn’t blink an eye – he even calls his family to prove that they wouldn’t either. Can you even blame a girl for falling for this guy?

“Goddamn, she’s cute. And if I could read her mind, I’d swear she’s picturing me naked. I sure as hell have pictured her naked about eight times a day since the moment she collided with me in the alley. But I’m a dude, we do those things. Girls are usually a lot less obvious. That’s why I’m ninety percent sure she writes erotic books. I get the feeling that she has a dirty mind, and I really fucking dig that.”

Once the two stop trying to fight their attraction, and try to keep things casual, the book just gets even better. It’s just so much fun reading Kate/Mercedes and Miles interact. The storyline makes for a perfect romantic comedy that had me cracking up and smiling all the way through. I flew through the pages and once I had finished I was so sad there wasn’t more for me to read.

I’m really hoping that the magical waiting room of Tires Tires Tires will inspire Amy Daws to turn this into a series. Consider this my official plea for more books taking place at Tire Depot because I just need more stories! Readers, do yourself a favor and read Wait With Me now.
