Vox Lux, Natalie Portman’s latest film about the life of a pop star, dropped a new trailer that features Portman singing.

Natalie Portman’s latest movie has got fans incredibly excited. Absolutely visually stunning, Vox Lux chronicles the life of a pop star, Celeste Montgomery, from her rise to fame as a young woman, to her struggles during the peak of her career.

The images and trailers released thusfar have been gorgeous, but they hadn’t given us a solid glimpse at the music in the movie. Thankfully, the latest trailer released for the film heavily features Portman (as Celeste Montgomery, of course) singing the song “Wrapped Up,” an original song for the film written by Sia.

Brady Corbet’s Vox Lux has gotten moviegoers talking since it was first announced. The film is a new style for veteran actress Natalie Portman, and the ostentatious set and costumes make this movie look like one that you won’t be able to help by be entranced by.

However, in this latest trailer, we don’t just see more of the stunning visuals and get to hear some of the original music for the movie, we also get a better taste of the heart of the film. We see Portman’s character, Celeste, as a young woman performing a song in public at a vigil after surviving a violent tragedy, and we get shots of her rocky road to superstardom. When the movie snaps back to 2017 and we Celeste as a 31 year-old woman with a daughter of her own, we see her not only trying to navigate the tricky waters of superstardom and the scandals and nuances that go with fame, but another huge act of violence rocks her world.

Vox Lux looks like it is going to be an amazing movie, and Celeste Montgomery will be a role unlike any Portman has played before. Luckily, we don’t have to wait to get a taste of this exciting new movie, as it opens in select theaters on December 7, and in theaters everywhere on December 14.
