French actor Vincent Cassel has just joined the cast of the currently untitled Bourne 5 movie.

Bourne 5 is starting production soon, and now it’s been revealed that the villain will be played by the talented Vincent Cassel. Variety reports that there aren’t any details known about the character as of yet, other than he will be another assassin.

Director Paul Greengrass has teamed up with Damon once again for their fourth Bourne film. Despite the fact that Greengrass said there was “no place else for the character to go creatively,” they ended up finding a script that worked for both Paul and Matt Damon.

Matt Damon has always said he was interested in returning to the character if the right script came up, and it seems he’s happy with the current script for Jason Bourne’s fourth outing (and fifth film).

In the end, the Bourne trilogy was a massive money maker, and Matt Damon may be looking to make a film that reunites him with the fans that started his rise to A-list status.

The duo have proven to be successful in the past, so we’re excited to hear that they’ll be joined by the highly talented Vincent Cassel. Fans may remember him as the antagonist in Ocean’s 12, where he was a master thief, which also co-starred Matt Damon.

Bourne 5 will be released on July 29, 2016 and also stars Tommy Lee Jones, Alicia Vikander, and Julia Stiles.
