A new on-set video has hit the web via Batman-News, and it may reveal a lot more than the film-makers wanted to expose to the prying view of the public eye. In the video, we can plainly see that Christian Bale is in front of Wallaton Hall, which is currently playing Wayne Manor in the third and final installment of Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight franchise. The real story though is the identity of the character who is in the scene with him. (Possible spoilers after the jump.)

Below the video is our analysis…

Now, the scene in the film appears to take place just outside of Wayne Manor. Since we have no idea about the composition of the shot (although from their actions it appears to be a fairly tight shot), we can’t assume that they are using the building as Wayne Manor since film-makers will often use anything that looks “building-esque” as an outside of a building, even if it’s a building that’s supposed to be another building. If it’s really close, the audience will never notice.

We can see that they are using on set water-techniques to make it look like it’s raining, and we can also see that they are using extras to make the street look a little busy. This means that whatever this location is, it is available to the public (so it’s probably not Wayne Manor). Here we have Bruce Wayne played by Christian Bale beginning the scene by knocking on the door. After a few moments, a female in a red overcoat (whom I am nearly 100 percent sure is Anne Hathaway, if anyone out there has image magnification software, I would appreciate a confirm) joins from screen left and walks up the steps toward Bruce.

They have a quick conversation and after making several gestures to the building (maybe it’s closed?) Hathaway leads him away from the doorstep and into the street.

It’s all there for those who wish to analyze further, but from the video I think we can gain at least one piece of important and possibly spoiler-iffic information. Bruce Wayne will meet and know Selina Kyle as a friend at some point throughout the film (possibly putting to rest the theories that she will begin and end the story as the villain).
