MTV followed Victoria Justice as she ran through the streets of New York and filmed her first Eye Candy promo.

Yesterday, MTV released their first live action promo entitled “Come and Get Me.” The video tracks Justice’s character, Lindy, as she ominously threatens the person who has been following her.

You can take a look at the making of that clip below:

Filmed on both the Manhattan Bridge and down into Brooklyn Heights, you get a real sense that New York is going to be a feature character within the show.

The urban environment has also been present in the promotional images for the program and even the characters themselves have been woven into the city’s infrastructure.

The character of Tommy (played by Casey Deidrick) is described as a New York native who descends from a long line of cops, who now works in the NYPD Cyber Unit. And Sophia (played by Kiersey Clemons) runs a popular downtown nightclub in the city as well.

Even the premise of the show explicitly mentions the city’s presence. “Lindy, a tech genius who is convinced by her roommate to begin online dating, starts to suspect that one of her mysterious suitors may be a deadly cyber stalker. When her friends at the elusive cyber police uncover a potential serial killer in Manhattan, all signs point to one of Lindy’s dates. Teaming with a band of hackers, Lindy works to solve the murders while unleashing her own style of justice on the streets of New York.”

If you’re interested in checking out the show with a New York State of mind, Eye Candy will debut January 12 at 10 p.m. eastern time and have a full 10 episode run.
