Hulu’s upcoming Veronica Mars revival has added an American Vandal alumn to its cast!

Veronica Mars fans will soon be hit with a new crop of episodes later this year, and along with familiar faces, we’ll also be introduced to some new characters.

One such newbie joining the cast of the eight-episode limited series is none other than Tyler Alvarez.

According to Deadline Alvarez, who was last seen on Netflix’s mockumentary series American Vandal, has officially joined the cast of Hulu’s Veronica Mars.

He’ll be playing the role of Juan-Diego De La Cruz on the series — a member of the Pacific Coast Highway biker gang that often finds themselves at odds with our favorite investigator.

Alvarez joins returning cast members Kristen Bell, Enrico Colantoni, and Jason Dohring, all of whom are gearing up to reprise their roles from the original series.

This time around, the town of Neptune will find itself at the center of a series of murders. The targets? Spring breakers who’ve come to the seaside town looking to have a good time.

Here’s the official synopsis for the upcoming limited series:

“Spring breakers are getting murdered in Neptune, thereby decimating the seaside town’s lifeblood tourist industry. After Mars Investigations is hired by the parents of one of the victims to find their son’s killer, Veronica is drawn into an epic eight-episode mystery that pits the enclave’s wealthy elites, who would rather put an end to the month-long bacchanalia, against a working class that relies on the cash influx that comes with being the West Coast’s answer to Daytona Beach.”

It sounds like cracking the case won’t be easy, but if anyone can get to the bottom of what’s going on it’s Veronica!

Hulu’s Veronica Mars is set to premiere sometime in 2019.
