Director Rob Thomas emailed Kickstarter backers today to announce that international fans will get their own chance to see the Veronica Mars film in selection locations!

The Warner Bros. team made arrangements with the Empire Cinemas, Showcase Cinemas, and Movies@Dundrum to ensure all Marshmallows in the U.K. and Ireland can get a chance to see the film.

The Veronica Mars movie will be released in the following locations:

Empire Cinemas:

  • Leicester Square (London)
  • Birmingham
  • Newcastle
  • Showcase Cinema:

  • Dartford (London)
  • Bristol
  • Cardiff
  • Nottingham
  • Leicester
  • Manchester
  • Glasgow
  • Movies@Dundrum:

  • For German ‘Veronica Mars’ fans:

Rob admits to some difficulties figuring out exactly when and where in Germany the film will be shown, but says it will eventually be released there. He adds the phrase “Ich bin ein Neptuner, meine Freunde!” which, according to our Google translator, means “I am a Neptuner, my friends!” (If you have a more reliable translation, let us know in the comments!)

He expects to have more details about international viewings next week.

Beyond that, Rob says the cast has been busy signing 4,500 posters for backers “during an 11 hour marathon signing. [H]e didn’t even allow them to get up to use the bathroom, and [they] still have another 1,500 to sign. Everyone’s hands ache. And you know what? [They’re] glad to do it.” The feature image is Jason Dohring looking chipper next to all those posters, boxed up.

The film comes out in a little over a month from now, and details continue to trickle out. Just last week we got a slew of information: another sneak peek clip a the film, the soundtrack listing was released, and, perhaps most excitingly, Entertainment Weekly put the two LoVe-ly stars on the cover and included some exclusive content.

Opening weekend tickets are already available for the U.S. and Canada, and you can see where the movie will be playing in your area right here.
