Following a full day of events for fans at San Diego Comic-Con on Friday, The Veronica Mars Movie has unveiled its first trailer online.

The sneak peek aired during both The Veronica Mars Movie Hall H panel as well as The Veronica Mars Movie Fan Event. Fans at the Hall H panel were treated to an exclusive clip from the film, which is included in the sneak peek video. The clip has Jamie Lee Curtis in a guest appearance as she talked with Veronica (Kristen Bell). Fans at the nighttime fan event were treated to an additional clip which showed the beginning of the Neptune High Reunion with Mac (Tina Majorino), Wallace (Percy Daggs III), Madison Sinclair (Amanda Noret), and Veronica.

Watch below. We’ll have more from Veronica Mars‘ presence at Comic-Con soon.

The trailer starts with the iconic words, “A long time ago we used to be friends” which served as the theme song for the UPN and CW series. The trailer features Logan (Jason Dohring) asking for Veronica’s help, despite her claims that she doesn’t do that anymore. The clip has behind-the-scenes interviews with creator Rob Thomas, Kristen Bell, Jason Dohring, Ryan Hansen, Tina Majorino, Chris Lowell, and Kickstarter backers. The Neptune High Reunion is prominently shown in the trailer as is a confrontation with high school nemesis Madison Sinclair.

Does the Veronica Mars movie trailer live up to expectations you’ve set in your mind since it was announced that the project would see the light of day?

The film will open in theaters in early 2014. Those who donated to the Kickstarter will receive a copy of the film on DVD/Blu-ray around the same time. You can pre-order it now on their official website.
