Veronica Mars is officially coming to Comic-Con 2013!

As revealed by creator and executive producer Rob Thomas in an email to Kickstarter backers, the Veronica Mars movie will be at Comic-Con 2013 in San Diego, California.

According to Thomas, the Veronica Mars movie will officially be at Comic-Con with more details soon to come. “We’re coming to ComicCon! I’m thrilled to confirm that we’ll be coming to San Diego this summer to meet as many of you as possible at ComicCon. We’ll have more specifics to share tomorrow, and a few new rewards available for those of you who will be in town.”

As of now, there are three members of the cast with Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars), Jason Dohring (Logan Echolls), and the mysterious $10,000 donor signed on. Ryan Hansen (Dick Casablancas) and Enrico Colantoni (Keith Mars) were in the movie announcement video from March and are widely expected to be in the film as well. The Kickstarter has raised $4.9 million (Update: $5 million) of its original $2 million goal. There are three days left of the funding period and the campaign is attempting to break the all-time record for most supporters on a current Kickstarter. There are currently over 75,000 backers and they are aiming to attract over 11,500 additional backers in the next three periods.

Comic-Con 2013 runs from July 18-21. The list of participating shows and films or the scheduling has not yet been revealed.
